LCD – Liquid Crystal Display Lanterns

LCD or liquid crystal display lanterns are safer than kerosene or gasoline powered lanterns because they are run on batteries and not fire. They are safe to take into the tents, carry on your backpack without the worry of anything spilling on you and safe to travel with. An LCD lantern would illuminate your camp area.

LCD lanterns come in many different shapes and sizes, one perfect for your next outing. There are the miniature LCD lanterns, perfect for tents and backyard bug hunting for the little ones. They don’t give off heat so they are safe for even the smallest children to handle without worry of getting burned. Usually three years and above can safely handle a miniature LCD camping lantern. There are tall thin LDC lanterns which can be used in the tent or around the camp fire as bug repellents which some of the lanterns come with. A natural bug repellent built into the LCD lanterns. This way you don’t have to carry a bug repellant with you, the lantern acts as the bug repellant for you.

There are large LCD lanterns which can be used in place of a fire because they are so large, however, they put out a limited supply of heat, and they would mainly be used for a light source if you were nigh fishing or something similar to this.

LCD uses a liquid crystal display instead of gasoline or kerosene to light your path when you are doing something in the dark, such as walking or exploring or camping. The LCD uses a battery and will last ten times as long as a fire lantern because you will not have to keep filling it up and you will not have to carry gasoline or kerosene with you when you go on a camping outing. All you might need is some extra batteries. You might even consider the rechargeable batteries and a car charger for the batteries to save you time and money.

To save even more space on your camping or hunting trip, some of the LCD camping lanterns have a built in radio so that you can listen to weather forecasts and of course music. This way you don’t have to carry a radio and extra batteries for the radio, the LCD lantern has a built in radio and you will only need one set of batteries for the LCD lantern in stead of two.
